About IMPACT-se

"IMPACT-se is an NGO that is really working on violence-free education, it’s not about Jews or Christians or Palestinians or Muslims, it’s about a violence free education, wherever it happens and wherever we can (make it happen). We should have respect for the work of this NGO, I really respect it.

The Power of Education

Education can also be used to promote negative influences—skewed historical narratives, hatred of others, gender inequalities, and even political violence—through explicit and implicit messaging.

The Institute for Monitoring Peace and Cultural Tolerance in School Education (IMPACT-se) is an international research and policy organization that monitors and analyzes education around the world. We employ international standards of peace, tolerance and non-violence, as derived from UNESCO declarations and resolutions, to determine compliance and to advocate for change when necessary.

Textbook Analysis

As a global leader in the field of textbook analysis, our international teams translate and analyze full textbooks on all school subjects within national curricula taught in Grades 1–12. By examining entire curricula, IMPACT-se presents a clear picture of how different societies educate their children in relation to religion, cultures, human rights, inclusion and the Other.

We are dedicated to fostering peacemaking between peoples and nations by encouraging the acceptance of Others and the rejection of violent conflict.

Preventing Radicalization

IMPACT-se aims to prevent the radicalization of children and youth as the most vulnerable members of society.

We believe that children should be nurtured and prepared for futures of hope, success, and happiness, while taught to embrace mutual respect and acceptance of those who may differ in various ways from themselves.
